This past May I celebrated five years in business here at AHP! What a crazy thought that I’ve been having this much fun for that long! It seems like yesterday that I picked up my camera for my very first session! The past five years have been filled with wonderful clients that alway have trusted me with their lives biggest events! That’s something I never take lightly. I’ve seen many of these families grow over the years and it’s so fun to see a few of them grace the pages of national magazines!
It’s always been a goal of mine to have my work featured in a magazine. It’s never something I’ve actively pursued or something that I really worked toward, but with the connections I’ve made over the last few years with a few other wonderful photographers in this industry, it all happened on it’s own!
This past March my good friend and fellow photographer, Michelle Kane, contacted me for a few photos for her feature in Mozi Magazine! I sent a few over and kind of forgot about it until she sent me the photos below! SO COOL! Our little friend, Wyatt, looks like such a stud in that upper right corner! According to his mom, Wyatt was pretty excited to see his face on the magazine page too!
With the goal of being featured in a magazine checked off my list, I never though it would happen again! However, the lovely and talented Laura Winslow contacted me for some photos of my client wall art just the other month! Most of you know how much I love canvases. They’ve been my go to product for most of my clients! They are gorgeous, and they tell the best story when placed together! I sent a few photos over to Laura, and again forgot about it, until just the other week when she emailed me telling me my work was featured on an ENTIRE PAGE in Chic Magazine!! WHAAAT?? So dang exciting!!
I quickly ordered a copy of the magazine and patiently waited to see which of my client’s faces made the pages this time! It showed up last week and I was so excited to see the Ellering and Bitz families smiling back at me! Their gorgeous canvas collection walls filled the page! It was a crazy “pinch me” moment to see my clients on that page!
It’s always a great feeling to be appreciated and trusted by my clients to create art for their home, but it feels really great to be recognized by my peers in this industry too! These magazines both include the work of many very talented photographers that I admire, and to have my work included amongst them is an incredible honor!
