On this frigid cold January day it’s hard to remember why I chose to live in this state. So to distract myself from the misery that is outside our door I thought I’d share my Five Things I Love About Minnesota Winters… just to fool my brain a bit.

5 things I love about MN Winters: 

01.  I actually have an excuse to not leave the house when it’s this miserably cold. Sweats all day anyone?

02.  The sound of the snow hitting the ground when everything else is silent. I experienced this the first time this week while waiting for Berkley to do his business in the middle of the night. It’s like tv static but way more glorious and way less annoying.

03 . On that topic, have you ever watched a small dog try to pee in a huge pile of fresh snow. No? Well come over sometime. Berkley will entertain.

04.  The fact that people actually run across crosswalks when it’s freezing cold instead of the normal leisure stroll while flipping through their Facebook feed, instagram feed, and posting a selfie before they make it completely across… all while you wait.  #impatientmuch

05. shoveling off our front stoop every hour. wait…. I hate that. Guess I only have 4 things…
